Business Analyst PLM (Functional Analyst)

The PLM Business Systems Analyst will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and PLM technology solutions, with a focus on Teamcenter X and related platforms. Leveraging 10 years of professional experience in PLM environments, the analyst will lead requirements gathering, process mapping, and system design for cross-functional PLM projects, ensuring that solutions support organizational objectives and enable efficient product lifecycle management. The analyst will coordinate with managed services or development teams to implement and test new PLM features, provide guidance on best practices and scalability, and support rollout and adoption of new capabilities across user groups. Key Responsibilities Analyze PLM business processes and workflows, such as NPI, document management, change control, and item/BOM management, to identify areas for improvement and automation. Gather, document, and validate PLM business and technical requirements from stakeholders including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain departments, i.e. the entire value chain. Develop detailed functional specifications and collaborate with development teams to deliver effective PLM system solutions, including CAD data management and ERP integrations. Facilitate stakeholder meetings, manage PLM project timelines, and ensure clear communication throughout the software development lifecycle. Lead user acceptance testing and support change management activities related to PLM system upgrades and new feature deployments. Act as a subject matter expert in PLM systems, providing guidance and training to end-users and supporting adoption of best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. 510+ years of Teamcenter experience, including Teamcenter X (SaaS) configuration and deployment. Deep knowledge of PLM process areas: NPI, document management, change control, and item/BOM management. Solid understanding of CAD data management (especially SolidWorks, AutoCAD, OrCAD, and Altium) and ERP integration concepts. Familiarity with Revit and the Autodesk construction suite. Ability to translate PLM business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications. Experience working with global teams and managing multiple stakeholders. Strong analytical and documentation skills.
