Job Title Senior Structural Engineer
Location Minneapolis, MN | West Palm Beach, FL
Job Type Hybrid, Onsite
Responsibilities
Technical analysis, design, preparation of construction documents, reports, and cost estimates for structural, infrastructure, environmental, water resources, and energy projects.
Focus on structural engineering analysis and design for a wide range of concrete, steel, and other structural elements for engineering planning, analysis, and design projects.
Lead structural design team on projects for a wide range of structural and general civil engineering projects and advancing technical and/or managerial career development responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
At least 10+ years of relevant work experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Applied knowledge of structural engineering theory and principles.
Experience with design of earth and water retaining structures and hydraulic structures.
Familiarity with drawings, specifications, and basic structural engineering software such as STAAD and MathCAD.
Strong oral communication and technical writing skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and lead a team of engineers.
Ability to manage structural design projects.
Self‑motivated subject matter expert; demonstrated through experience, participating in local professional organizations, preparing, and presenting market specific papers and presentations.
Must be available for field work and travel.
Additional Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis).
Master of Science degree in structural or geotechnical engineering.
Microstation experience.
Familiarity with federal and state government guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Experience with USACE structural design standards, construction observation, geotechnical, and soils engineering skills.
Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other U.S. Federal agencies’ engineering department general design standards and specifications.
Salary (Salary range for MN location) Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation.
