Position Summary The Float Pool Assistant processes new employee and Registry staff hires, including providing basic orientation and teaching staff to use the scheduling system, Active Staffer.
Will also assist staff with on‑going training requirements, monitoring and following‑up to ensure compliance.
Serves as a resource to staff for help with all other computer system needs.
Will also provide support to staffing coordinators as needed; addressing changing staffing needs by obtaining additional resources, assisting with bed assignment duties, and decedent affairs responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English
Must have a minimum of 2 years administrative/clerical/customer service office experience
Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of basic hospital policies and procedures
Knowledge of medical terminology
Administrative experience in a healthcare environment
