Job Summary Our newly opened Emergency Department is the second largest in Washington, offering 52 state‑of‑the‑art private treatment rooms. The open‑floor model provides greater visibility and patient safety and supports a team‑nursing approach. Doctors, nurses, ED techs, and social workers collaborate to provide the best emergency care. Critical patients may be transferred or received by helicopter via a helipad on the rooftop. We hold Joint Commission certification as a Cardiac and Stroke Center and are a Level III Trauma Center with 2 private bays for critical care. Front‑end process includes 6 fast‑track and 5 triage rooms with assigned physicians and nurses to support rapid assessment and treatment.

Responsibilities Staff members demonstrate competent professional practice, engage in opportunities for growth, and meet all mandatory deadlines. They provide health‑care education and guidance to patients and families, and educate regarding results, findings, and diagnoses within scope of practice.

Job Requirements

Graduation from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred.

Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required.

Previous emergency or critical care experience within the last 2 years preferred.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 60 days of hire, maintained thereafter.

Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association.

Quarterly AHA Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) obtained within 12 months of hire.

Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) within 12 months of hire.

National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire.

Emergency Nurse Pediatric Certification (ENPC) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire.

Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification.

Pay Range $42.43 – $71.67 per hour
