Talent Brand & Marketing Team Overview The Talent Brand & Marketing team activates Edward Jones’ talent brand across all candidate touchpoints. Partnering with Talent Acquisition, Human Capital, and Enterprise Brand & Marketing, the team attracts, engages, and converts high‑quality talent through segmented campaigns, compelling storytelling, and optimized channel strategies. Work spans the candidate experience across paid media, social and community engagement, owned digital, and recruiter enablement.

What You’ll Do The Senior Channel Manager serves as the business lead for high‑impact marketing channels that drive awareness, engagement, and conversion across Edward Jones’ recruiting lines. The role is responsible for guiding the strategy and performance activation of paid media, social, email, and direct mail channels, in partnership with external agencies and internal collaborators. You’ll ensure channel strategies align with segmented campaign goals, brand vision, and hiring outcomes, and lead significant modernization progress to achieve outsized business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Strategy & Activation: Lead strategic planning and performance oversight of direct‑to‑candidate channels, including paid media, social media, email, and direct mail.

Agency Partnerships: Partner with agency teams to activate campaigns that drive candidate engagement and conversion.

Segmentation Alignment: Align channel strategies to segmented campaign goals across recruiting lines (Experienced Advisors, Career Changers, Client Support Team, Home Office).

Audience‑Specific Campaign Support: Activate audience‑specific strategies across paid, social, and direct channels, collaborating with content, creative, and talent sourcing teams to ensure execution aligns with audience needs.

Community Engagement: Lead evaluation and development of talent conversations in online communities such as Glassdoor and Reddit; build a new point of view and trial activation plan.

Personalization & Targeting: Guide audience targeting strategies using first‑ and third‑party data; support delivery of personalized, segmented experiences for high‑quality talent audiences.

Measurement & Optimization: Lead performance analysis across channels and campaigns using dashboards and reporting tools; partner with analytics to develop KPIs, track conversion metrics, and optimize cost per application and cost per hire.

Budget Management: Manage channel budgets, forecast spend, track utilization, and report ROI to finance and sourcing teams.

Leadership & Collaboration: Manage external agencies and technology partners; lead virtual teams and collaborate cross‑functionally with content, creative, sourcing, and brand teams.

Brand Governance: Ensure brand consistency across all channel touchpoints; develop and maintain channel best practices, governance guidelines, and activation playbooks.

Innovation & Development: Identify emerging trends and new channel opportunities (e.g., AI‑driven, influencer partnerships, LinkedIn micro‑communities); build business cases and lead pilots to test and scale new approaches.

Compensation Hiring Minimum: $99,200. Hiring Maximum: $168,900.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, web development, information management, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

10+ years of experience in communication, marketing, journalism, and at least 5+ years of digital and other marketing channels including social media, web or intranet development, user‑centered design, paid media, direct marketing, and/or project management.

Digital native with a bias toward data‑driven action; deep knowledge of standard and current marketing practices including targeting, personalization, and direct‑to‑consumer touchpoints.

Proven knowledge of marketing reporting, analysis, and strategy; proficiency with relevant tools.

Analytics mindset with numerical aptitude.

Strong organizational and leadership skills; ability to deliver under strict deadlines, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and lead cross‑functional project teams.

Excellent communication skills.

Experience working in a fast‑paced, dynamic marketing environment; ability to work independently with little direction.

Highly flexible and comfortable working through frequently changing time frames and short deadlines.

Effective communication with senior firm leaders; ability to influence and explain channel best practices, even when challenged.

Preferred location: within commutable distance from Tempe, AZ or St. Louis, MO office; hybrid/hybrid‑based options may apply.
