Accounting Manager – Up to $130k
Our client, a healthcare organization, is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to support their national business. This role reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for leading month‑end and year‑end close processes, journal entry review, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash forecasts. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a multi‑entity environment and has experience in large organizations with a breadth of responsibilities. Great Plains experience required. 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
Base Pay Range $115,000.00/yr – $130,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP.
Supervise, mentor, and train staff accountants and part-time accounting team members.
Lead account reconciliations and review journal entries, providing guidance to the team.
Coordinate the close schedule across departments to ensure timely deliverables.
Support tax filings and external audit preparation in collaboration with the Controller.
Complete ASC 842 monthly entries and reconciliations.
Act as a key stakeholder in ERP system implementation (e.g., Sage Intacct).
Identify process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Assist with ad hoc projects and provide hands‑on support as needed.
Qualifications – Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Strong multi-entity accounting experience.
Hands‑on experience with month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
