in Santa Clara, CA for a high‑acuity cardiovascular ICU travel contract. Immediate placement is available.
Location & Schedule Santa Clara, CA Schedule: 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM (36 hrs/week) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP
Compensation Weekly pay: $3,500 (includes $1,512 taxable income and $1,988 tax‑free stipends). Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.
Minimum Requirements
RN license in the state where nursing will be performed
Demonstrated proficiency in acute care nursing
2 years of cardiac care experience preferred
ACLS may be required per state/client contract
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X‑ray if applicable
Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulation
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full‑time CVICU experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Active RN license in California
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
Experience in Progressive or Intermediate Care Unit
Responsibilities Provide ICU nursing care to critically ill patients in cardiovascular, post‑operative, ventilator, post‑cardiac arrest, and hemodynamic stabilization settings. Respond to codes and emergent situations as part of a multidisciplinary team. Conduct patient and family teaching and collaborate with ancillary and other healthcare team personnel to maintain standards of professional nursing practice.
