We are looking for a full‑time Sterile Resource Technician to join our Surgical Department in Concord, CA.

Job Overview The Sterile Resource Technician (SRT) plays a critical role in supporting our surgical department by ensuring a clean, sterile, and well‑organized environment. Responsibilities include decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and proper storage of surgical instruments. The SRT also maintains sterilization equipment and restocks sterile supplies.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.

Conduct biological and chemical monitoring to verify sterilization.

Operate and maintain sterilization systems (e.g., steam, EO, H₂O₂).

Inspect instruments and replace any damaged items.

Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment.

Stock and organize operating room cabinets with sterile supplies.

Monitor inventory levels and request restocking as needed.

Follow all infection control, OSHA, and clinic safety protocols.

Maintain a sterile and organized work environment.

Properly use PPE and sterilants.

Compensation Pay range:

$28 – $40 per hour , based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a clinical, hospital, or veterinary environment.

Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general office equipment.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.

Effective communication and teamwork in a fast‑paced environment.

Physical Requirements

Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Stand for extended periods and frequently bend at the waist.

Work in a fast‑paced environment with a focus on safety.
