Job Summary This position is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications of basic to medium complexity. Clinical applications include any software application used in support of the clinical enterprise such as patient registration, patient billing, clinical documentation in ambulatory and inpatient settings, and specialized applications for Radiology, Pathology, Oncology, Transplant, and Cardiology. Other responsibilities include basic to intermediate analysis and documentation of business and management problems to formulate application requirements and assisting in providing solutions to routine problems through more efficient operational procedures, workflows, and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Responsible for solving routine issues and applying solutions for components of a clinical application or program.

Modify system configuration to maximize efficient use of clinical applications or programs.

Assist in designing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining clinical applications and programs.

Apply intermediate analysis and documentation skills to create and maintain clinical application documentation.

Develop, maintain, and execute testing scripts.

Gather data and prepare clinical application documentation for existing and proposed procedures.

Assist in establishing project plans, maintain priorities, and complete assignments within project timeframe.

Demonstrate awareness and understanding of institution, department, and customer mission and goals.

Define and analyze clinical problems; develop and verify solutions; review application or program logic and errors.

Focus on components of a clinical system rather than the whole system/application.

Proactively partner with customers to understand and meet their needs.

Participate as a team member.

Adhere to internal controls and reporting structure.

Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

One year of related experience.

Must possess sufficient educational background and/or experience to perform clinical applications analysis or programming.

An equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the role may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

IT experience – desktop, programming, Epic support.

Epic certifications or proficiencies in any clinical application (Ambulatory, ClinDoc, Orders).

Work Schedule Mostly remote position, but required on campuses on occasion. 8 am to 5 pm, and as needed also on occasion.
