Position Details
Part-time, 50% FTE (20 hours per week)
Monday afternoons, Wednesday and Friday all day
Day Shift
Location Harborview - Robert Clewis Clinic - Needle Exchange Program
Department Description The Robert Clewis Clinic is part of a multiagency center to provide comprehensive services to homeless and vulnerable housed people including people who use the sobering shelter in the building. This is a clinic providing low barrier access to medical, mental health, chemical dependency and case management services. The clinic offers access to the following services:
Abscess treatment and care
HIV/hepatitis testing and counseling
Hepatitis A and B vaccinations
Colds and upper respiratory infection care
TB screening
Access to Treatment
Reproductive Health Services
Narcan available
Primary Job Responsibilities
Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records
Wound care and phlebotomy
Perform injections
Prepare and clean exam rooms
Submit medication prior authorizations
Recognize symptoms of common medical illnesses and accurately report to provider
Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers
Assist provider with procedures and medical exams
Perform point of care testing and report abnormal laboratory values
Assist in transporting patients as required
Requirements
Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or ABHES or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent
Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6 months of hire. Failure to achieve and/or maintain this designation will result in termination of employment
Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider CPR card

Compensation, Benefits and Details
Pay Range Minimum: $57,648.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum: $82,476.00 annual
Other Compensation: $5,000 sign on bonus
