We are seeking an IT Project Coordinator/Manager with strong infrastructure (e.g. servers, switches and DR) experience for an onsite 1-year assignment with our client in the west Houston area. The initial projects will be related to server upgrades, switch upgrades, and coordination of Disaster Recovery (DR) testing with infrastructure and application teams. Responsibilities

Manage and lead multiple simultaneous small-scale, self-contained projects to successful completion with minimal supervision Initial projects will include leading a server migration project and network switch upgrade project. Provide assistance in managing large-scale technical projects from initiation through implementation including phases such as planning, analysis, design development and implementation. Maintain detailed project plans, coordinate project activities, facilitate meetings, maintain project artifacts and track project issues to resolution. Create and maintain project-related documentation including, but not limited to, project audit checklist, project status reporting, meeting notes, project schedules, and customized release management checklist Familiar with change management processes Compile custom project status reports, documents, and presentations used by management for status analysis and future strategy development. Monitor project progress, budget and report status. Set up and maintain workspaces in project document repository and monitor overall project compliance. Assist in developing presentations and project reports for senior management as needed. Respond to operational issues and information requests within defined areas of responsibility while progressing on project work. Provide support to Project Manager/PMO to ensure project milestones, schedule and budget goals are met.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree is required. Degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field, or comparable work experience, is preferred. Self-motivated mind set. Energy industry experience is preferred. 4 years minimum of IT experience with 3 or more years in an IT project leadership position is required. Experience managing projects with IT equipment at distributed field locations and specifically operations facilities preferred. A broad range of IT knowledge, including proven experience with technical infrastructure projects, is required. A proven track record of working with internal and external resources to meet project objectives is required.

Experience managing project resources that are not dedicated to a project or co-located. Must have strong inter-personal, communication, negotiation, influencing, organization and facilitation skills.

Experience working with Microsoft tools, including Excel, MS Project, and SharePoint is required. Experience with a project management tool such as Microsoft Project, Monday.com, SmartSheets.
