is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Treasury Analyst to join our Treasury team. This role reports to the Assistant Treasurer and plays a key part in managing global treasury operations, including cash and liquidity management, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and banking relationships. The ideal candidate will be passionate about process improvement and automation, contributing to the efficiency and accuracy of our treasury functions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily cash operations for Stepan US and selected subsidiaries, including transaction reconciliation, process stop payments, positive pay exceptions, and fund transfers.
Serve as the primary liaison for treasury management with banking partners, supporting A/R and A/P operations and resolving critical issues promptly.
Analyze bank fees, identify discrepancies, and resolve billing issues.
Manage bank accounts for US entities and select subsidiaries—open, close, modify accounts, manage online banking access, and support KYC.
Maintain and enhance short‑term and long‑term cash flow forecasting models to support liquidity planning.
Perform financial risk management activities, including analyzing foreign exchange and interest rate exposures and executing, confirming, settling derivative contracts.
Manage short‑term investing and borrowing, intercompany loans, global cash pool coordination, and prepare interest expense forecast and analysis.
Support intercompany payments as a system administrator and process expert for multilateral netting.
Provide transaction documentation to the Controller’s group for accounting and reporting; support month‑end close, external reporting, and audit processes.
Develop ad‑hoc financial reports and support internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, regulatory requirements, and maintain documentation for treasury transactions and procedures.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—accounting, tax, legal—to support and enhance cash flow, liquidity management, and risk mitigation strategies.
Lead and support treasury‑related process improvement and automation initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
2–5 years of experience in treasury or finance.
Solid understanding of treasury accounting and reporting principles.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred but not required.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required. MBA with a concentration in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
Pay Range $65,000 - $85,000. The salary range is determined by a variety of factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and the location of the position.
