Manager, Workday HCM & Security We are looking for a Manager, Workday HCM & Security to join KPMG US and lead workday managed services engagements for post‑production clients.

Set up, maintain, and optimize Workday HCM and security configurations, ensuring compliance, governance, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

Provide oversight and lead execution of day‑to‑day activities for Workday managed services engagements across diverse post‑production clients, including enhancements, optimizations, break/fix support, release management, new feature deployments, process improvements, and strategic road mapping; lead the analysis, design, configuration, and delivery of Workday solutions.

Guide cross‑functional teams in troubleshooting complex Workday issues and implementing scalable solutions, ensuring proper documentation of design decisions, configuration rationale, and solution architecture for knowledge continuity and governance.

Lead onshore and offshore Workday HCM teams by managing capacity, forecasting resource needs, and balancing workloads, while also driving team development through skill gap analysis, mentoring, and ongoing coaching to ensure high‑quality delivery and career growth.

Serve as a strategic Workday HCM advisor during sales pursuits and proposal development by leading client tenant assessments, identifying optimization opportunities, and shaping value‑driven solutions to enhance feature adoption and operational efficiency.

Function as a Workday Security SME, leading the design, configuration, and governance of security roles, domain and business process policies, while ensuring compliance with organizational, regulatory, and data access standards; apply security best practices to support audit readiness, enforce access controls, and maintain a strong overall tenant security posture.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of recent experience in post‑production, managed services support or consulting with direct client work in Workday HCM‑Security; minimum two years of recent experience in a leadership role.

Preferred Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Management Information Systems (MIS) from an accredited institution; a Bachelor’s degree is required.

Required Workday certification in HCM‑Security. Candidates hired who do not currently hold the certification must secure it within three months of employment.

Preferred additional Workday certification in at least one of: Core Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Talent and Performance, Advanced Reporting, Learning, People Experience, Recruiting, Benefits.

Deep understanding of HCM‑Security business processes and experience leading process reengineering and implementing enhancements that drive efficiency, compliance and business value.

Exceptional communication, facilitation and presentation skills; ability to engage stakeholders, translate complex concepts and lead cross‑functional collaboration across onshore and offshore teams; demonstrated ability to drive structured problem‑solving and guide teams through root cause analysis, resolution planning and delivery of scalable Workday solutions.

California Salary Range: $129,300 – $223,900
