Senior Benefits Administrator

for a nationally recognized, multi‑state organization in the automotive industry. This

contract‑to‑hire

opportunity is ideal for an HR professional who thrives on balancing strategic program management with hands‑on benefits administration. The role is fully onsite in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Senior Benefits Administrator Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and retirement plans

Manage enrollment, COBRA, claims, compliance testing and benefits communications

Research and recommend plans and vendors to maximize value and efficiency

Ensure full compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA and related regulations

Lead benefits audits, surveys and actuarial data reporting

Evaluate processes to improve cost‑effectiveness and employee experience

Provide guidance and training to benefits staff and field teams

Senior Benefits Administrator Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field

3–5 years of benefits administration experience

Strong understanding of federal and state benefits regulations

SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP or CEBS certification preferred

Proven leadership and project management abilities

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
