Sales Consultant - Full Book, Off Premise (Spokane, WA)
Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits, a family‑owned distributor with more than 50 years of success, is looking for a Sales Consultant to represent the company in the Spokane area. This full‑time position offers a competitive salary range of $42,000 to $70,000 annually, with total first‑year earnings between $60,000 and $70,000 based on incentives and auto allowance eligibility.

Primary Responsibilities
Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust.
Discover and identify customer business growth needs.
Develop a customer business growth plan for each account and build a pipeline of selling opportunities.
Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business.
Regularly pre‑plan account visits with an agenda and service purpose, documenting opportunities in CRM.
Prioritize sales activities to achieve objectives based on each customer business growth plan.
Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans considering previous outcomes and document in CRM.
Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and correctly present and position them in each account.
Propose selling solutions to each customer and win the sale using consultative skills.
Achieve internal SGWS and supplier objectives as prioritized by management.
Manage customer issue resolution and support business growth by providing useful information and guidance.
Adapt the selling approach based on each customer’s buying styles and individual business needs.
Be knowledgeable and experienced in all accounts, staying current with what competitors are offering and how SGWS products are positioned relative to the competition.
Document and maintain account‑specific information in CRM.
Participate in sales meetings, on‑site training, and supplier events as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Primary Responsibilities Conduct account‑specific planning and maintain documentation in CRM (Proof). Engage with suppliers and coordinate events. Provide budgeting and forecasting support.
Minimum Qualifications
21 years or older.
Proficient in analyzing and understanding data and information.
Ability to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties and responsibilities.
Experience building and structuring customer presentations and product proposals.
Proficient in using mobile devices and online communication techniques (email, texting, etc.) in a professional manner.
Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
Responsible for own actions and results; delivers consistently high level of service to customers, suppliers, colleagues, and management.
Excellent communication skills, with clear, concise expression tailored to the audience.
Adaptable in ambiguity; embraces innovative ideas.
Team player; works collaboratively with others.
Works in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
Must possess a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain and maintain auto liability insurance on the vehicle.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Travel as needed.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Demands
Tables for keyboard/mouse or mobile device activity.
Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, stooping.
Driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours.
May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56 lbs.
