Senior Process Engineer - Refining Specialist
Location: Maumee, OH
Salary: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00
The Senior Process Engineer plays a key role in defining, executing, and completing projects that successfully meet the client’s requirements and expectations. The Process Engineer collects and prepares data and information and performs detailed engineering calculations that are consistent with commonly employed engineering practices. The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for the basic process design of unit operations and preparation of engineering deliverables.
Responsibilities
Documented design basis and process description
Process simulation models (using HYSYS)
Block Flow Diagrams
Process Flow Diagrams
Heat and Material Balances
P&ID development
Material Selection Diagrams/Tables
Hydraulic calculations
Sizing information for process equipment (compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, distillation columns, separators, reactors, etc.) provided in the form of equipment data sheets
Design and sizing of safety relief devices
Comfortable in interfacing with clients, visiting client facilities, and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
EIT certification desired, PE a plus
10+ years experience in the oil & gas or chemical industries
Experience in the design of process equipment (vessels, pumps, exchangers, fired heaters, compressors)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in teams and present a positive image to clients
Working knowledge of or familiarity with Aspen HYSYS, AFT Fathom/Arrow, Visual Flow, Microsoft Office products, BlueBeam Revu
