My client are an established and rapidly expanding engineering contractor delivering major civil, marine, and renewable energy projects throughout the UK. With significant growth forecast for 2025, they are now seeking a Senior Civil Design Engineer to take a leading role within their engineering department. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and project oversight across tender, pre-construction, and delivery phases. You’ll work closely with project managers, operations, and fabrication teams to ensure designs are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. Responsibilities

Oversee and approve engineering calculations, technical assessments, and project documentation. Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized projects from concept to completion. Support site operations, ensuring engineering design is effectively implemented on site. Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development. Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery. The person / Qualifications

Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Marine Engineering (MEng/MSc). Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction or marine engineering, with strong on-site experience. Proficient with Eurocodes, British Standards, and relevant design codes (PIANC, DNV). Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Knowledge of CDM 2015 and health and safety best practice. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel to UK project sites. What’s on offer
