Responsibilities

Performs routine networking visits to physicians, hospital discharge planners, case managers and other healthcare referral sources to present community information, gather resident referrals, and evaluate potential resident admissions that contribute to the community’s overall revenue growth.

Receives and processes prospective resident inquiries and maintains inquiry records in CRM.

Records all sales related activities for prospects, contacts, and referral sources in CRM.

Frequently participates in local community networking events and looks for the opportunity to garner interest and support of community operations.

Demonstrates leadership skills by planning and instituting new and innovative programs in harmony with the overall facility philosophies, and in partnership with the Home Office Sales and Marketing Team.

Screens all prospective admissions to determine that the delivery of appropriate care will be provided in the assisted living or memory care setting.

Assesses cost‑of‑care of prospective admissions appropriate to the level of care as determined by the admitting physician.

Provides appropriate forms necessary to request adequate medical information to make decisions regarding admissions.

Effectively understands the community, the levels of care we service, and programs offered.

Schedules the appropriate assessments and gathers as much information as possible with regard to prospective residents.

Assists in identifying areas for cost containment while maintaining quality.

Stays abreast of changes in the industry, outside communities and competition.

Maintains open lines of communication with the fiscal intermediary and state agencies.

Works with the central office to resolve billing concerns.

Interviews and provides community tours to residents and/or resident family members during the admission application process.

Explains costs of care involved in appropriate levels‑of‑care as determined or required by the admitting physician.

Presents appropriate forms necessary to request adequate medical and social information, which will be returned for review.

Serves as liaison between families and hospital discharge planners, social service agencies, resident placement agencies and physicians.

When an appropriate bed is available and all records are in order, communicates the resident’s admitting schedule according to Facility admissions policy.

Notifies all appropriate Facility departments of pending admission.

Notifies the department heads of admission approval, the unit number assigned, and the resident’s expected time of arrival.

Greets the resident and family at the door upon admission. Coordinates all moving of furniture; assists the family and resident to settle into the room as needed; and conducts orientation for the resident and family using the resident handbook.

Ensures the resident is appropriately signed in using PCC.

Updates Admissions/Move‑out records in CRM and on requested reports, and participates in all required Sales Update calls.

Maintains a list of community resources.

Receives and reviews change‑of‑room requests. Notifies appropriate departments of room changes.

Works closely with the Nursing leadership and Administrator for input regarding admissions and room changes.

Assists with annual staff in‑service.

Attends and participates in Quality Assurance meetings.

Reports weekly to the Administrator and Senior Sales Director.

Participates in all fire drills by reporting to the Nurses’ Station for instruction.

Performs specific chart audits as assigned.

Maintains current records of competitor census, occupancy, private rates and service offerings. Submits a formal competitive analysis bi‑annually, or as otherwise directed.

Participates in annual census and Operating Budget planning as requested.

Participates in census development and marketing meetings, conference calls and planning meetings as scheduled.

Partners with other community departments to submit content and photos to the Social Media and Website Coordinator to be posted on either the community website or social media platform.

Works diligently to maintain census goals and budget goals as it relates to census numbers.

Enters resident information into Point Click Care.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must have a valid state Driver’s License.

Demonstrated success in external marketing to physicians, discharge planners and other healthcare referral sources preferred.

Demonstrated success in sales and sales‑related activities.

Must be willing to work and cooperate with other employees.

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary.

Must be able to solve problems.

Must be able to work under pressure.

Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene.

Must read, know and follow personnel, department and facility policies.

Must be knowledgeable of local, state and federal regulations as related to admissions, prospective payment and resident care.

Background checks/drug‑free workplace.
