This role is within Wealth Management in the Alternative Investments Business supporting products such as hedge funds, digital assets, private equity, private credit and private real estate. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest alternative investments platforms in the industry and it is one of the fastest growing segments of the firm.
The Alternative Investments Fund Profile
Associate
will be part of the Fund Onboarding & Servicing team responsible for effectively and efficiently onboarding funds to the Morgan Stanley platform and ensuring they are successfully operating as part of the platform. The Fund Profile (FP) team utilizes the Firm’s Fund Profile system to process FP requests submitted by Product Development. The team is responsible for setting up new funds and maintaining fund‑level static data. The Fund Profile

plays a critical role in fund launches and manages changes throughout the life of the fund. The Fund Profile
Associate
will also work with the Reg D team and system. The Reg D system is used to pre‑qualify prospective investors and allow FAs/PWAs to disclose any information about or offer to sell a specific Private Fund. The Fund Profile team is critical in ensuring compliance and lawful offerings of these exempt securities.
Job Duties And Responsibilities
Work with internal partners to drive to solutions that involve highly complex business scenarios that require a firm understanding of processes and procedures, available products, and the systems that support those products
Partner with the Product Development team to review and approve requests related to establish Alternative Invest funds on the Morgan Stanley platform.
Review and act on request from internal operations teams, product development, and branch personnel
Manage requests to ensure the data entered into the Morgan Stanley Fund Profile system adheres to regulatory guidelines
Review exceptions and make recommendations that are in line with policies and procedures
Escalate issues and events that require attention, or action to business partners, senior business managers, senior risk managers, the legal, and others as appropriate
Review platforms, procedures, and processes to identify opportunities for enhancements
Develop a firm understanding of the target operating model, strategic vision, and execute initiatives that support the team’s model
Drive accountability and limit risk exposure for assigned initiatives by establishing controls and monitoring progress.
Qualifications – External
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
Associate: 2-4 years of relevant financial services experience
Prior experience with wealth management operations and/or the alternative investments product is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular strength in Microsoft Excel is required
Ability to ensure process consistency and adherence to all procedural guidelines set forth for a process
Ability to work independently, contributing to the goals of the team
Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute in a fast paced, high demand environment
Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, actively participate in projects/discussions, work through problems and help reach decisions that are in the best interest of the Company
Associate: SIE and Series 99 required to be obtained within 120 days of hire

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long‑term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
