Vendor Relations Advisor, Central Capabilities – Starbucks is building a vendor relations team as part of the newly created Central Capabilities function in Global Business Services (GBS). The Vendor Relations Advisor is responsible for leading vendor contracting and onboarding activities in compliance with company policies and supports vendor rationalization, spend, span and performance analysis for key service providers. In This Role, You Will
Develop & Lead Vendor Lifecycle Processes such as qualifications, contracting, onboarding and performance requests received from business partners. Analyze data to drive improved decision making, create ad hoc reports, provide status updates, and contribute to the development of reporting systems. Model vendor financial and operational risk exposure, escalating potential issues to the vendor management lead where required. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure contract safeguards cost efficiency, risk allocation and Starbucks policy standards. Provide insights and recommendations to strengthen vendor negotiations and mitigate risk exposure across GBS service areas. 5+ years vendor performance, contract management or procurement compliance Experience in negotiating and monitoring commercial terms with external providers Proficiency in monitoring commercial performance, cost controls, and contract adherence Analytical mindset with ability to identify value leakage and propose corrective actions Excellent communication skills to influence vendors and internal stakeholders on compliance and commercial issues Benefits
