About the Job SuperSummary is looking for a seasoned, data‑driven Performance Marketing Manager to own and scale our paid acquisition channels. You'll be responsible for driving efficient subscriber growth across our core established channels— including Google Ads, Meta, and Apple Search Ads — while pioneering expansion into other promising new channels like TikTok Ads and Creator/Affiliate Partnerships. This role is an opportunity to directly shape how millions of readers discover SuperSummary, combining analytical rigor with hands‑on creative experimentation to drive sustainable growth and ROAS improvements across channels. You'll work cross‑functionally with our Product, Content, and Analytics teams to develop sophisticated, highly‑targeted campaigns that reach students, educators, book club members, and lifelong learners wherever they are. The ideal candidate thrives on experimentation, stays ahead of platform changes, and can balance immediate performance goals with long‑term brand building.

What You’ll Do

Manage and optimize

daily paid media budget and campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, Apple Search Ads, and other channels to hit CAC and ROAS targets

Lead expansion

into new ad channels (TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, etc.) and test new strategies (video ads, influencer and affiliate marketing) to diversify our acquisition mix

Develop AI‑powered creative testing frameworks

in collaboration with designers and copywriters to continuously improve ad performance

Build and refine

audience segments, bidding strategies, and attribution models to improve efficiency across the funnel

Own the performance marketing budget, allocating resources

across channels based on incrementality and strategic priorities

Run in‑depth analyses

on website/app engagement, conversion funnel performance, and A/B test performance for paid ads traffic to better understand opportunities for improvement

Report on performance

to leadership with clear insights and recommendations for optimization

Stay current on platform updates , industry trends, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities

Sample Projects

Google Ads deep dive:

run AI‑powered analyses on our existing strategy to identify and test new keyword/targeting strategies, copy and creative improvements, and bid optimizations

TikTok pilot program:

collaborate with our Content team to build SuperSummary's presence on TikTok from scratch, testing BookTok creator partnerships, spark ads, and in‑feed video to establish benchmarks and scale strategy

Landing page optimization:

work with Product and Design to build and test dedicated landing pages for key campaigns, improving conversion rates across channels

App Store Optimization:

test improvements to our mobile app marketing strategy (new keywords, descriptions, images, etc.) to improve the performance of our app‑focused campaigns

Required Qualifications

4‑7+ years of performance marketing/paid media experience at high‑growth companies with particular expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads

Proven track record of scaling high‑volume paid channels (via both web and mobile app‑based products) while maintaining or improving efficiency metrics

Strong design and copywriting sense and ability to develop effective creative strategies alongside Content and Product team members

In‑depth analytical skills with experience using top analytics and A/B testing platforms (Google Analytics, Amplitude, etc.)

Prior experience using AI for creative experimentation, campaign analysis, and marketing automation

Experience with creator/influencer‑driven marketing strategies on channels like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.

Excellent communicator who thrives in a fully remote, highly collaborative team.

B2C, SaaS/subscription, EdTech, or related experience is highly preferred.
