Our Client is a private, multi-faceted family office overseeing a portfolio of high-end residential and estate properties across the Houston area. They are dedicated to maintaining exceptional standards of quality, safety, and presentation across every facility.

ABOUT THE ROLE Our Client is seeking a hands‑on, energetic, and solutions‑oriented Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations and maintenance across multiple properties. This individual will serve as the on‑the‑ground leader ensuring that all buildings, systems, and grounds are functioning smoothly and maintained to the highest standard. The ideal candidate will balance technical know‑how with leadership skills — coordinating vendors, managing preventive maintenance, and providing responsive support to residents and staff alike.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee daily operations and maintenance of multiple facilities, including buildings, grounds, and mechanical systems

Coordinate and supervise yard crews handling landscaping, irrigation, tree trimming, and hardscape maintenance

Manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, and general building systems including inspections, repairs, and diagnostics

Handle trash, recycling, and waste removal vendor coordination

Oversee all external service contracts including HVAC, pest control, janitorial, pool, and security

Conduct regular facility inspections, identify deficiencies, and track resolutions

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules

Respond to after‑hours issues such as HVAC failures, leaks, or storm damage

Support capital projects, renovations, and remodels by coordinating contractors and monitoring quality

Assist with facility budgets, cost tracking, and expense reporting

Maintain records, service logs, compliance documents, and inspection histories

Engage with internal stakeholders to assess needs, communicate updates, and ensure satisfaction

Uphold all safety and compliance standards including OSHA, insurance, and fire codes

Assist occasionally with logistical or event setup and vendor coordination

Maintain operational tools, supplies, and equipment inventory

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certification preferred

Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or property/estate management

Broad working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, and mechanical systems

Demonstrated ability to supervise crews, vendors, and contractors

Strong organizational, multitasking, and time‑management skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple properties

Physical ability to perform hands‑on maintenance and inspections

Proactive, reliable, and detail‑oriented with a “roll up your sleeves” approach

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Experience in luxury residential or multi‑facility environments

Familiarity with CMMS or work order management software

Experience with budgeting, purchasing, or cost control

Project management background in renovations or vendor coordination

Knowledge of energy efficiency, smart systems, or sustainability practices
