Base pay range: $86,632.00/yr - $140,608.00/yr

Metro Transit Metro Transit is one of the country’s largest transit systems, employs more than 3,000 people, and provides more than 80 million rides a year through an integrated network of buses, light rail, and commuter trains, as well as resources for those who carpool, vanpool, walk or bike in the Twin Cities.
How Your Work Would Contribute to Our Organization and the Twin Cities Region The Senior Project Administrator provides financial analysis and budgeting expertise within the Engineering & Construction department to assist department management in strategy and decision-making regarding operations, budgeting and capital budget planning. The position also procurers and manages the department’s on‑call professional service contracts.
Note:
This position is eligible for a hybrid (both remote and on‑site) telework arrangement. Candidate’s permanent residence must be in Minnesota or Wisconsin.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage existing budgets, and perform financial analysis and reporting, including engineering capital grants.
Track compliance and support development of annual capital and operating budgets.
Examine and summarize service performance data of contracts and recommend solutions.
Procure, negotiate, and manage on‑call professional services contracts consistent with Council policy and budget authority.
Lead development of special projects and analysis for Engineering & Construction budget decision‑making.
Support invoicing, pay request processing and budgeting for project and construction managers.
Administer project funding and construction administration software.
Qualifications Any of the following combinations of progressively responsible experience in public administration, budgeting, or financial analysis in a transportation environment or a related field; and completed education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a closely related field:
High school diploma/GED with eight (8) years of experience
Associate degree with six (6) years of experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher with four (4) years of experience
