Environmental Engineering Co‑Op

for Spring/Summer 2026 in our East Windsor, NJ office. While your primary reporting location will be East Windsor, there may be opportunities to work from our Philadelphia or Conshohocken offices.

Role Description Arcadis is the world’s leading provider of sustainable design, engineering and consultancy solutions. We are looking for a motivated co‑op student who is eager to gain exposure to environmental consulting and learn about a broad range of environmental projects. Specialized on‑site training for hazardous waste work will be provided depending on project assignments.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team to obtain, interpret, and evaluate field and analytical data in order to prepare engineering reports, designs, permit applications, and construction documents.

Prepare environmental remediation reports and design tasks, including soil/groundwater/vapor remedial systems, innovative in‑situ or ex‑situ technology treatment design, and field assessments.

Conduct site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies.

Install soil borings and groundwater monitoring wells.

Collect soil and groundwater samples.

Design and oversee system improvement projects and system upgrades.

Compile data, evaluate results, and perform QA/QC.

Write reports, support permitting, and assist with cost estimating.

Oversee operation and maintenance of remediation systems (water and vapor treatment).

Coordinate with project managers and senior engineering staff.

Qualifications & Experience

Currently enrolled in a degree‑seeking program in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Capability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Benefits & Salary Arcadis offers benefits for part‑time, as‑needed positions, including EAP, 401(k), and optional wellbeing benefits. The salary range for this position is $16.50–$35.00/hour.
