AWS Sales – Strategy & Operations Leader AWS Sales is seeking a Strategy & Operations Leader to align and support all of Specialist GTM direct and indirect teams aligned to AWS AI Applied Solutions and two other key sales teams. This global role will partner with three Directors to help grow adoption for strategic AWS domains and services. The role will lead a team that works to continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management in a rapidly growing environment. It will include working with Specialized Sales leadership to develop, implement, and manage the annual GTM plan, business processes, systems, reports, and strategies that optimize business functions.
This Specialist Strategy and Operations Leader will act as a trusted business advisor to GTM Leader worldwide, leveraging data and analysis for GTM strategies and scaling the business. The position manages team goals, targets, segmentation, demand generation campaigns, and business rhythm activities such as Weekly, Monthly, and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Key Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to roll‑up their sleeves, learn the technical solutions and understand the addressable opportunity by Geo and segment, and work directly with the data models to discern strategic insights.
They will be passionate about their work, detail‑oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem‑solving abilities.
They will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.
They will have superb communication and customer‑relationship skills, analytic insight, and possess stakeholder management skills at an executive level.
Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities.
They will drive toward simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project‑management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy‑to‑understand way.
They will hire, develop, manage and motivate a team of high‑performing sales operations professionals.

Basic Qualifications
10+ years of senior leadership work in sales operations, sales strategy, finance, business development, or other related fields.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience in leading a divisional sales operations team or equivalent responsibilities supporting a mid‑to‑large‑scale, multi‑geographical, high‑tech, sales organization.
Experience hiring and leading a high‑performance team.
Experience in multiple organizational functions such as compensation, forecasting, organizational development or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
Experience in business‑process design.
Experience rapidly growing an organization and attracting, hiring, and maintaining top talent.
Experience working within a high‑growth, technology company.
Master’s degree or equivalent.

Compensation The base pay for this position ranges from $157,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
