Salaries : $7,172.00 – $8,910.00 per month New to State candidates will be hired at the minimum classification salary or alternate range as applicable.

Job Summary Under the general supervision of an Accounting Administrator II, the Accounting Administrator I (Supervisor) directs professional, technical, and clerical staff to provide accounting services and support to state agencies.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations, providing month‑and‑year‑end close and financial reporting, and using FI$Cal, CalHR, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office Suite to meet Department of Finance and Office of Fiscal Services requirements.
Responsibilities
Supervise and allocate work for the accounting staff.
Perform and oversee month‑end and year‑end close procedures.
Prepare and verify financial statements and reports as required by state agencies.
Ensure compliance with government codes, the Governor’s Budget, and Office of Fiscal Services guidelines.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in FI$Cal and related systems.
Assist in internal and external audits and provide related documentation.
Conduct accounting reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Collaborate with Human Resources on personnel-related accounting matters.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in public sector accounting with supervisory responsibilities.
College degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance or related field.
Proficiency with FI$Cal, CalHR, PeopleSoft, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of state accounting regulations, budgeting, and the Office of Fiscal Services requirements.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
