***This is a hybrid opportunity and will require being in the office up to 3 days a week in Florida. Full relocation package is available.***
We’re partnering with a leading global organization seeking a true #2 for their tax department. As the
Tax Director
they will oversee all aspects of income tax accounting, compliance, and audit. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining a strong control environment, and helping to drive strategic tax planning initiatives that support the company’s continued growth and financial performance.
Areas of Focus
Lead, mentor, and develop a
high‑performing team , fostering collaboration and professional growth.
Lead the
global income tax provision process (ASC 740)
— including quarterly and annual reporting, reconciliations, and financial statement disclosures.
Maintain and strengthen
internal controls
and SOX compliance within the tax function.
Oversee all aspects of
U.S. federal, state, and international compliance , ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Partner with the VP of Tax and senior leadership on
strategic planning and forecasting .
Manage and respond to
federal, state, and international audits , while mitigating potential tax risks.
Collaborate with external advisors on projects such as transfer pricing, credits, acquisitions, and other complex tax matters.
Stay ahead of changes in tax legislation and accounting standards, ensuring the organization remains proactive and compliant.
Oversee
indirect tax
areas.
What You’ll Bring
CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation
strongly preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax (public company), public accounting, or a combination of both.
Proven experience managing
complex compliance and provision processes
for a large, multi-entity organization.
Strong technical expertise in
U.S. tax law, ASC 740, and GAAP reporting .
Deep understanding of
Sarbanes‑Oxley
requirements and internal control environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
A balance of strategic vision and hands‑on execution.
Location:
Tampa Bay Area, Florida
