Position Summary
Supply Chain Coordinator II
reports to the Manager/Supervisor, Supply Chain Operations. This role (Picker/Packer) is responsible for the timely and accurate receipt, unpacking and restocking of all supplies and small equipment for the assigned entity. The Coordinator ensures accurate ordering for the next day’s delivery and manages secondary replenishment from the hospital’s central storeroom, maintaining inventory management hardware and software on the unit and escalating clinical or administrative issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors inventory movement within the supply area and requests changes to remove slow‑moving items or increase par levels for fast‑moving items.
Reviews the unit prior to beginning restocking to identify low‑inventory items, then retrieves supplies from the central storeroom.
Participates in daily unloading and loading of trucks from the Consolidated Services Center to ensure timely supply delivery across the health system.
Manages restocking of supplies for the hospital’s emergency carts, including checking for expired or short‑dated items; each cart is restocked in no more than 40 minutes.
Maintains a productivity rate of 52 lines per hour for all restocking activities.
Attends daily huddles to receive work assignments and instructions.
Checks, flags, and removes all short‑dated or expired product from supply areas.
Retrieves, disinfects, and redistributes small equipment for the institution.
Ensures supply areas are neat and orderly to comply with Joint Commission regulations.
Fields requests from departmental customers and directs them to the appropriate materials‑management channel for resolution.
Supports inbound receiving by reviewing, sorting, and verifying the contents of all inbound parcels; enters the goods receipt in the hospital’s ERP system and delivers the parcel to the unit.
Qualifications
Two years of supply chain experience required; experience in a warehouse, hospital supply chain, or customer service role preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in a hospital OR or peri‑operative setting preferred.
Shift & Location Shift:
Full Time, 40 hours per week – Evening shift Monday‑Friday 2:30 pm–11:00 pm with every other weekend required (Saturday 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Sunday 7:00 am–3:30 pm). Free parking.
Location:
Sibley Memorial Hospital – 5255 Loughboro Rd NW, Washington, DC 20001.
Compensation Salary Range: Minimum $17.11 /hour – Maximum $28.26 /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion.
