As a litigator, you will work with our broad client base and will have excellent opportunities to gain significant litigation, arbitration and trial experience. Objectives of this Role
Be well versed in Illinois civil procedure
Advise, advocate for, and represent our clients’ interests at the highest level
Possess superior communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Practice law with a high level of professionalism, consistency, and dedication to serve our clients’ needs
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
Review, analyze and draft pleadings and discovery, and report on same to clients
Review, analyze and summarize relevant records
Take and attend depositions, including preparing defendants and witnesses for same
Work closely with our team to prepare comprehensive case evaluations, briefs, and motions on cases that go to trial
Interface with clients about discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and other case-related work
Perform fact investigations and legal research related to specific legal matters
Make frequent court appearances for hearings on status, discovery motions, dispositive motions and pre-trial conferences
Skills and Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA)
Illinois Law License
0-3 years of legal experience
Detail oriented with ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
Strong organizational and project management skills
