Job Description You are:
A proactive contributor responsible for managing and administering contracts with federal and state/local government agencies, including bid/proposal support and end‑to‑end contract management of GSA, NASPO, and IDIQ contracts.
You Will
Review and negotiate terms in solicitations, RFPs, RFQs, and other government contract vehicles.
Apply FARs and other regulations to ensure compliance, collaborating with legal and subject matter experts as needed.
Manage contract administration and foster relationships with government acquisition personnel.
Maintain and support all online sites and tools associated with government contracts.
Assist with government certifications, FOIA requests, and other customer/customer agency interactions.
Engage with business, legal, contracts, finance, and other teams on all contract‑related matters, including disputes.
Identify potential impacts of new marketing programs, price changes, and product offerings on GSA contracts.
Provide periodic training on compliance issues.
Work with business management to maintain pricing, discount policies, and reporting of fees such as the GSA Industrial Funding Fee.
Develop and post web‑based catalogs of government‑available items.
Monitor compliance with TAA/BAA, ethics rules, Equal Opportunity, and Small Business Subcontracting Plans.
Serve as liaison with government auditors and regulators, preparing required data during audits.
Stay current on policy and legal developments in government contracts.
Maintain databases/tracking of current and completed contracts and distribute them to stakeholders.
Your Background
Minimum 10 years of direct experience with federal and state/local government contracting.
In‑depth knowledge of FARs and competitive procurement processes.
Experience with GSA schedules, NASPO agreements, and multi‑award IDIQs.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to manage all levels of the organization.
Detail‑oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and time‑management skills.
U.S. citizenship required for certain federal contracts.
Previous contracting officer or specialist experience is a plus.
Expertise in Microsoft Office, Adobe products; knowledge of Salesforce and SharePoint is an advantage.
Compensation The wage range is $100,000 – $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Location This is a hybrid role with a requirement of four days per week onsite in Shelton, CT. No relocation assistance is offered.
