Job Description:

Responsible for maximizing the value for a product. Defines the vision and roadmap for the product, defining and prioritizing stories in the product backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. Works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment. Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain. With some guidance, creates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems. Creates and prioritizes work for one team. Learning to collaborate with cross-functional teams. With some guidance, creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog. Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints. Reviews and accepts stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements. Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business. Individual contributor.

Position Summary

Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team and drives user adoption. Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs, problems, and aligns them on priorities. Experienced with cross-functional teams. Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business. Strategic Vision

Partner with business stakeholders to understand their objectives and define a clear, strategic vision. Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the long-term goals of the business and the organization’s data strategy.

Requirement Gathering and Translation

Collaborate with various business areas to anticipate their needs and translate them into actionable, detailed requirements. Ensure that business needs are effectively communicated to development teams, fostering a shared understanding of goals and priorities.

Subject Matter Expertise

Become a trusted subject matter expert on given applications, with a deep understanding of the business processes, technology landscape, and data flows within the domain. Provide insights into how the given product intersects with other business and technology areas, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration.

Stakeholder Communication

Effectively articulate the product vision, roadmap, and required changes to both technical teams and business stakeholders. Act as a liaison to ensure alignment, manage expectations, and drive consensus across diverse groups.

Role specific Requirements

Attend intake calls, discussing process with new Program Owners for the RISE application and helping to review materials. Ensure Program owners are trained on File Uploads, Bulk Rework, and QA. Set up new deliverables shells (and when applicable new subprograms) for intake items. Modify existing deliverables shells when needed for scope expansion / “contract” changes. Maintain intake documentation. Work with RISE POs, PM, SMEs and QA team to understand acceptance criteria . Coordinate with SMEs and delegates for QA access. Convey testing timeline, and set up as needed meetings to review found issues. Work with tech and data teams to provide resolution to issues before code freeze. Conduct post release validation and office hour calls, as needed.

Minimum Years of Experience

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience as a Product Owner/Program Owner or similar role, preferably in a technology-driven environment. Hands-on experience managing stages of the product life cycle. Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and document business processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders. Exceptional presentation and articulation skills. Knowledge of software development technologies. Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and conflict-resolution ability. Demonstrated strong organizational skills and project delivery experience. Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into clear and detailed user stories and acceptance criteria. Deep understanding of data strategies, enterprise architecture, and technology trends. Proficiency in Agile management tools such as JIRA.

Desired Qualifications

Ability to run simple to complex SQL queries Prior Financial/Banking Experience. Experience working with teams in different locations, coordination of tasks. Proficient in handling end-to-end planning and coordination.
