We’re seeking an experienced
Senior Tax Manager
to lead our growing tax division. In this role, you’ll oversee a skilled team providing expert tax guidance to a diverse client base. You’ll manage tax preparation and review, ensure compliance, mentor staff, and strengthen client relationships. The ideal candidate brings deep tax expertise—and ideally, an existing client portfolio—to help expand our tax and client services division.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, estates, and nonprofits.
Research and interpret tax laws to provide clear, actionable guidance.
Supervise and mentor team members; manage workflow and performance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive service.
Oversee accounting and payroll services for client accounts.
Draft and review internal memos, correspondence, and regulatory filings.
Manage multiple projects efficiently and ensure timely completion.
Train and develop junior staff to strengthen technical and leadership skills.
Use advanced tax software for accurate, efficient reporting.
Assist with annual income tax provisions and corporate filings.
Advise on entity structure, compliance, and planning opportunities.
Collaborate with financial advisors and investment bankers on tax, financial, and estate planning.
Support firm growth through business development and client retention.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
CPA required.
Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience with a tax focus.
Strong understanding of income tax provision processes and audit principles.
Expertise in multi-state and high-net-worth individual taxation.
