The Position The Site Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Lompoc plant site, including mining, production, maintenance, quality lab, warehousing, and shipping. The manager ensures an efficient, productive, and safe workplace, implements Imerys policies, and upholds local, state, and federal governance requirements.

Job Scope / Dimensions

The Lompoc site covers 5,000 acres with a surface mine and four distinct processes.

Over 1,500 SKUs are produced with an annual sales budget exceeding $80 M.

Direct supervisory responsibility for 8 employees, with an average daily headcount of 160.

Requires interaction with customers, vendors, regulatory personnel, and corporate leadership.

Review and approval of timecards, expense reports, and purchase orders.

Recommends and supports management of capital projects.

Ensures compliance with CGMP, FCC, and Pharmacopeia guidelines.

Domestic travel: 2–3 times/year; no international travel.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Coordinate mining, production, warehousing, and maintenance activities.

Supervise all plant employees and enforce safety and cleanliness standards.

Review financials, prepare forecasts, and develop budgets to maintain profitability.

Communicate with customers to ensure high‑quality service and products.

Define priorities and develop plans for site‑wide process and efficiency improvements.

Participate in cross‑functional teams to support overall company goals.

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree (required).

7–10 years of industrial experience and proven leadership skills.

Union experience is desirable.

$190 k – $215 k base salary range. Salary determined by qualifications and experience.
