Within EY-Parthenon’s Strategy and Execution sub service line, our Software Strategy Group focuses on software industry strategy, value creation, and transaction advisory, serving hundreds of software companies and investors each year. You will work alongside a team of former CTOs and CEOs with deep software expertise to learn from the best. Responsibilities

Lead workstreams and engagements, translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables. Manage problem-solving and supervise the team’s analytical activities, serving as the primary liaison between the engagement team, senior leaders, and clients. Directly contribute to problem framing, hypothesis development, and synthesis of findings to drive client value. Qualifications

Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with approximately 18 months of related work experience. Ability to make detailed assessments of industry, products, markets, competitors and customers to identify risks and opportunities. Proficient in English, with strong listening, reading, writing, and verbal communication in a professional environment. Strong quantitative skills, including the ability to model complex financials and/or markets. Effective organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Residence in or commuting distance to the office location; SSG team members are in the office 3–4 days a week. Ability and willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary. Ideally, an MBA or related graduate degree with at least 18 months of post-graduate-school consulting experience, preferably with technology-oriented clients, or experience in a software or technology company in product or R&D roles. Expertise in one or more software sectors (horizontal software, vertical software, infrastructure software, or software-enabled services). Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Courses or experience in computer science, data science, or engineering; knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting (e.g., Microsoft Copilot). What We Offer You

Comprehensive compensation and benefits; base salary range: $130,000 to $185,000 (varies by factors including education, experience, skills, and geography). Total Rewards include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k), and paid time off options. Hybrid work model with client-facing roles typically in-person 40–60% of the time over engagements.
