Join Agoda as a Mobile Engineering Manager. Agoda is an online travel booking platform for accommodations, flights, and more. We build and deploy cutting‑edge technology that connects travelers with a global network of 4.7 million hotels and holiday properties worldwide.
We are looking for a world‑class development manager to lead our mobile platform for booking area team and bring it to the number one spot. The role is highly technical and requires strong leadership and people‑development skills.
Responsibilities As the mobile platform’s development manager you will:
Collaborate with product managers, shape and execute the project plan, and lead technical decisions.
Guide and review the development team’s work, sometimes getting hands‑on with code.
Work closely with the central mobile platform team to adopt new platform features.
Create and drive a roadmap for continuous code cleanup and define a robust testing strategy.
Balance product‑management and project‑management roles to define “what” and “why” and to lead “how” and “when” of feature development.
Drive technical direction for the Agoda mobile app, staying abreast of industry trends.
Recruit and integrate high‑performing engineers, and foster a culture of learning and ownership.
What you’ll need to succeed
Extremely proficient in Swift or Kotlin.
Experience or willingness to learn cross‑platform technologies such as Kotlin Multiplatform, React Native, Flutter, NativeScript, Ionic.
Knowledge of other languages (e.g., Objective‑C, Java, C#, Scala) is a plus.
Proficient in modern coding practices (dependency injection, reactive programming, MVVM, design patterns).
Passion for technology and mobile apps.
Experience in an agile development team.
Ability to take full responsibility for the product from planning to deployment and maintenance.
