Job Description Summary Our team works cross‑functionally to maximize PayPal’s relationships across payment ecosystem players—networks, acquirers, processors, financial institutions, and partners. You will provide detailed analytic support that is critical to business decisions and serve as a thought partner across product, legal, business, and finance to drive winning outcomes.

Role Overview This role will focus on understanding the payment ecosystem and developing analytics and reporting tied to that ecosystem. You will work with business, product, finance, and other teams to drive impact for payment partners. Your primary goals include: understanding transaction expense trends by processors, acquirers, networks, and issuers across regions; creating reporting and monitoring for ecosystem KPIs; performing deep‑dive analyses to drive business decisions; and building business cases for commercial discussions with partners. Operational efficiencies for the team will also be part of your scope.

Your Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Become a domain expert in PayPal Payments and conduct rigorous data analysis to improve transaction expense and understand ecosystem performance.

Lead business and financial analysis on new initiatives to understand and prioritize opportunities.

Provide operational support for business needs and collaborate across teams.

Create impactful stories with data that influence stakeholders.

Develop automated reporting and monitor KPIs for the payment ecosystem (network, acquirer, processor, issuer).

Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across product, finance, and other functions.

Own responsibilities with quick, effective solutions as needed.

Automate and maintain solutions using Tableau/Power BI, ensuring timely and accurate metrics.

Manage contract reporting and engage stakeholders internally and externally.

What You Need to Bring

7–10 years of experience in business analytics, finance, payments, or research.

Understanding of payment products and technology is preferred.

Data aggregation experience with SQL (BigQuery, Teradata, MySQL) and programmatic handling of JSON or flat files.

Fluency in Excel and statistical programming languages (Python, R) or web analytics tools.

Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Exceptional business judgment and analytical skills.

Track record of data‑driven problem solving and delivering business impact.

Strong technical skills to translate complex transactional data into insights.

Collaboration mindset in a complex, matrixed environment.

Proactive, resourceful, and intellectually curious.

High integrity and positive team presence.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (statistics, finance, analytics, data science).

Compensation & Benefits The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $84,500 to $140,250. Compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. For more information, visit
