Within GMEE, eCommerce businesses are a foundational way for Microsoft to acquire and build relationships with our customers at scale through our direct-to-customer channels.
The Director, Commercial eCommerce Sales Excellence drives accountability for business growth through operational rigor, strategic insights, and disciplined execution across Microsoft’s marketing and sales teams. In this role, you will frequently monitor revenue results to identify growth drivers and variances with forecasts, root cause variance across regions, products, and customers, evangelize your learnings, and calibrate expectations on future results.
Responsibilities
Continuously monitor performance to identify opportunities or risks and adjust plans as needed.
Deliver performance outlooks, revenue risks, and growth opportunities weekly to stakeholders.
Aggregate regional insights to inform performance trends and assess revenue risk and upside.
Deliver monthly performance summaries and actionable insights to leadership.
Drive root‑cause analysis combining financial and web performance data.
Lead virtual teams of stakeholders from across Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Analytics to drive actionable insights.
Lead eCommerce rhythm of business (ROBs) – including preparation for monthly marketing reviews (MMRs) and executive communications.
Lead key strategic projects to improve business results.

Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in retail, eCommerce, finance or marketing; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in retail, eCommerce, finance or marketing; OR equivalent experience.
4+ years experience communicating complex business information to a range of audiences, including c‑suite, in written, visual and verbal formats.
4+ years experience distilling customer and business insights and recommending actions based on data analysis from disparate sources.
4+ years experience analyzing revenue performance at global and regional levels to identify historical and future trends.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in retail, eCommerce, finance or marketing; OR Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in retail, eCommerce, finance or marketing; OR equivalent experience.
4+ years project/vendor management experience.
4+ years experience working in a strategy, business leadership, or other quantitatively oriented role.
Experience working in a large, global organization with a disparate group of stakeholders.
Experience partnering with data analysts and data scientists.
Experience with eCommerce and marketing levers.
Compensation Product Marketing IC5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 – $251,900 per year. For the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $165,600 – $272,300 per year. Additional compensation may include equity, bonuses, and benefits available to eligible employees.
