Major Responsibilities

Manage the receiving, inspecting, and recording of incoming and outgoing IT endpoint devices and peripherals following documented standards. Ensure proper asset record keeping from procurement through disposal of IT assets according to organizational policies and procedures. Record asset tag information (serial number and asset tag number) for import into Active Directory, ServiceNow, and other inventory tracking and configuration systems

Maintain a secure and orderly storage area for IT endpoint devices and peripherals. Keep precise records of all IT assets, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and peripherals, utilizing ServiceNow hardware asset management software.

Collaborate with warehouse personnel for the receipt, movement, and delivery of equipment stock and pallets. Participate in meetings to help other teams understand IT Asset management practices, and project workflows.

Perform regular audits of endpoint inventory to identify discrepancies, damages, or missing items, and reconcile any discrepancies.

Implement asset management workflows and tools to streamline inventory tracking and reporting processes. Inform management and leadership of issues and potential solutions.

Adhere to and champion IT policies and procedures for inventory management, asset tagging, security, and disposal, educating and helping others to understand ITAM processes and procedures when necessary.

Assist with intermediate level troubleshooting and repair of IT endpoint devices, such as replacing screens, hard drives, motherboards, etc. Facilitating the repair, replacement, or maintenance of IT assets under warranty or service agreements by collaborating with vendors and external service providers.

Unbox, apply asset tags, install base images, configure, and re-box new or used laptops and desktops. Unbox and apply asset tags to tablets and phones in the central imaging center. Connect hardware to the network and KVM devices for imaging, configuration, and setup as directed. Establish initial network connectivity for new device deployment following defined procedures and troubleshoot as necessary.

Configure multiple machines simultaneously in a mass production environment, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy while following documented procedures and assisting entry level teammates. This includes performing software installations, implementing device security requirements, and ensuring compliance with IT hardware/software standards. Provide timely status updates on device imaging assignments and inform leadership of any deviations from standards.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required

CompTia A+ ; Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA); Google IT Support Certificate or equivalent required

Education Required

High school diploma or GED

Experience Required

2-4 years of experience in IT inventory management, PC repair and imaging, mobile device set-up, endpoint device support, or related field

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Understanding of laptops, desktops, tablets, smartphones, and related peripherals

Experience with basic troubleshooting and repair methods

Working experience with ServiceNow or similar inventory management systems

Experienced in using Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams Office products.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Team player with the ability to build long term relationships

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to communicate effectively with end users, vendors, and suppliers.

High attention to detail and accuracy required.

Excellent Customer service and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.

Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job including manual pallet jacks.

Exposed to semi-temperature-controlled warehouse conditions.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds of IT equipment throughout the workday.

Preferred Job Requirements

Associate’s degree in IT related field preferred.

The IT Endpoint Inventory Depot Technician is responsible for inventory management, maintenance, repair, and tracking the inventory of IT endpoint devices, such as laptops, desktops, tablets, cellular phones and peripherals. The level 2 technician will perform intermediate level troubleshooting and repair of PC endpoint devices, and coordinate with vendors and suppliers for warranty and replacement services. The level 2 technician will participate in coordinating project hardware storage and delivery, while ensuring proper asset tracking throughout. Additionally, the technician will be involved in imaging and configuration of new or used IT endpoint devices in a centralized imaging center, following defined processes and standards.
