The opportunity As a Manager in Data Management & Strategy, you will lead technology transformation projects that align with strategic objectives, manage timelines, costs, and quality standards, and steer both technical and non‑technical teams to deliver top‑notch technology solutions and infrastructure.

Your key responsibilities

Oversee the delivery of technology projects, ensuring adherence to methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, and mentor team members.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation, applying research, analysis, and best practices to advance processes and solutions.

Manage complex technical initiatives, providing expert guidance, resolving issues, and achieving performance objectives across client service, risk management, and team development.

Engage actively with clients, lead workstreams, and identify opportunities to expand services.

Spearhead RFP responses and manage engagement economics, including resource planning and budgeting.

Travel as required to meet client needs and project demands.

Skills and attributes for success

Initiate requirement gathering, architect solutions, blueprinting, testing, complete workflow and documentation, and oversee functional design across multiple data workstreams.

Liaise with stakeholders and technical teams to translate needs into business solutions, while defining data strategies, quality standards, and governance frameworks to ensure alignment across SAP and non‑SAP systems.

Direct teams leveraging SAP data tools (e.g., Data Services, Information Steward, MDG, Datasphere, Data Intelligence, and/or Migration Cockpit) and integration methods (CPI, SLT, APIs) to maintain consistency across workstreams.

Construct and direct technology projects in line with organizational goals.

Possess expertise in project and program delivery methodologies, and mentor others.

Demonstrate strong analytical skills to develop creative solutions for complex problems.

Show leadership skills to manage professional staff and supervise teams effectively.

Employ strategic thinking to drive sales, business growth, and client satisfaction.

To qualify for the role, you must have

A Bachelor's degree.

4 years of relevant experience working with one or more SAP modules with full‑cycle implementations inside your core module.

Specialized skills in Data Migration, Data Governance, Enterprise IT Architecture, Master Data Management, and/or other data management disciplines.

Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills.

Experience managing SAP data projects or workstreams and leading project‑based team members.

Knowledge of leading practices, benchmarking, peer company environments and prior advisory experience relevant to industry‑specific finance and technology functions.

Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

A willingness to travel to meet client needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with Data Migration, Master Data Governance, Data Analytics and/or data quality programs across SAP landscapes.

Additional qualifications or certifications in SAP data management tools or project leadership.

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving client data issues.

Excellent communication and leadership skills to guide teams and interact with clients.

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. Base salary ranges are $125,500–$230,200 in the US, with higher ranges for New York City, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento). Additional benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.

Join us in a team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. We expect most client‑serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.

Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. Additional time off is granted for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence.
