The Corporate & Business Unit (BU)
Controller
will serve as a key financial leader within a dynamic aerospace business. This position is responsible for driving disciplined accounting operations across $80M business unit and Corporate Headquarters ($400M total), ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, FAR/DFARS, and CAS requirements.
As a strategic partner to the VP of Finance, the
Controller
will strengthen financial controls, enhance reporting transparency, support operational initiatives, and drive cost efficiencies through a shared services model. This role will also play a critical part in preparing the business for future growth and transformation.
What You’ll Do:
Lead accounting functions including general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, payroll and consolidations for BU and Corporate.
Deliver accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis for executives and external stakeholders.
Drive cash flow management, working capital efficiency, and compliance with U.S. GAAP, FAR/DFARS, and CAS.
Partner with operational leaders to improve margins, KPIs, and EBITDA performance.
Optimize SAP and IBM TM1 systems to streamline reporting and processes.
Build and mentor a strong accounting team ready to scale with the business.
Support M&A readiness, due diligence, and transaction activities.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
10+ years in accounting/finance leadership, ideally in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
Experience in private equity–backed environments preferred.
Expertise in U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, and government contract compliance (FAR/DFARS, CAS).
Strong ERP skills (SAP preferred), with reporting and analytics proficiency.
Strategic, hands‑on leader who drives process improvements and business partnerships.
