This role is in partnership with

As the Senior Manager of Data Engineering, you will help support and grow their People Team – People Analytics function by designing data solutions, implementing and managing security, and interfacing with user communities, business stakeholders, and technology partners.
Base pay range $110,200.00/yr – $188,800.00/yr
Location: Remote (United States). For hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, a minimum of four days per week in the office is required.
Responsibilities
Serve as direct resource for executives or senior leadership.
Lead a global data enablement team by setting goals, mentoring, coaching, and conducting performance assessments.
Collaborate with other people analytics leaders on strategy, delivery, and enhancement.
Challenge the status quo and influence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and approaches.
Provide subject‑matter expertise to influence and give insight across the community.
Act as a key resource for complex issues, data discrepancies, and time‑sensitive requests.
Assess and interpret customer requests for feasibility, priority, and complexity; document and delegate within an agile intake tool.
Manage backlog of requests and priorities, ensuring alignment to business timelines.
Lead projects and change initiatives aligned to key priorities of People Analytics.
Communicate project progress, milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies to leadership.
Lead calls to advance technology, data, and innovation.
Design and implement scalable data architectures and pipelines for advanced analytics and reporting.
Develop and review work of others, providing guidance on execution and best practices.
Solve unique and complex problems with broad business impact.
Monitor industry trends and introduce innovative ideas to the community.
Champion operational process improvement through review of existing structures and workflows.
Own data strategy for centers of excellence to improve data stability, portability, accuracy, and automation.
Maintain an executive presence and translate complex concepts for varied audiences.
Improve stakeholder engagement of standard data solutions.
Develop team capabilities to support employee career goals.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data engineering or information security.
5+ years of leadership experience managing cross‑functional technical teams.
5+ years of experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
5+ years of experience with SQL, ETL processes, and data modeling.
5+ years of experience with automation tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
3+ years of managing large‑scale data projects and analytics platforms.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Solid understanding of data governance, security protocols, and compliance frameworks.
Experience working in a matrixed environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated industry.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Domo, Tableau, or Power BI.
Background in Human Capital or People Team functions.
Track record of implementing business continuity strategies.
Experience with open‑source analytics platforms and community engagement.
Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strategic mindset.
