Overview We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven
Purchasing Manager
to oversee all aspects of sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management. This role is responsible for identifying and developing supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring the timely and cost‑effective procurement of high‑quality goods and services. The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic sourcing expertise, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to optimize purchasing operations in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full sourcing and purchasing process, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution.
Develop and implement purchasing strategies, policies, and procedures that align with company objectives and industry best practices.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure maximum value and cost savings.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, reliable delivery, and continuous improvement.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs, manage inventory levels, and align purchasing activities with business goals.
Analyze market trends, pricing, and sourcing data to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Manage procurement risks by diversifying suppliers and developing contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Prepare and present regular reports on purchasing performance, cost savings, and supplier metrics to senior management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of
5 years of experience
in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing—preferably in a sports, retail, or consumer products environment.
Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of achieving favorable supplier terms.
In‑depth knowledge of purchasing best practices, vendor management, and supply chain processes.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.
Proficiency in procurement systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office tools.
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across internal teams and external partners.
