Our wonderful community, The Bluffs at Hamilton Hill, is hiring an Executive Director to join our team of Senior Living warriors in Novato, CA. MBK Senior Living is a provider of Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services with 35 communities across the Western United States. The Executive Director is a visionary leader championing a culture of compassion, respect, and resident‑centered care while fostering a community known for innovative resident programming, high‑performing teams, and upholding MBK values and principles. The Executive Director has full profit and loss responsibility, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and maximizing operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. Supervisory Responsibilities

Hire, train, and supervise directors and their line staff; set performance goals, monitor progress, coach for development, and manage disciplinary actions. Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to achieve community goals related to occupancy, resident satisfaction, and financial performance. Implement immediate and effective solutions to critical operational challenges, ensuring rapid stabilization of resident care and staff performance. Oversee day‑to‑day community functions and maintain compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policies. Ensure operational excellence through full compliance with MBK policies, procedures, and standards. Provide strategic guidance to all departments (care, dining, activities, maintenance) for seamless integration. Proactively identify and elevate urgent issues, mobilizing cross‑functional teams to mitigate risks. Inform necessary parties of incidents in accordance with Reportable Event Guidelines. Collaborate with department directors to develop policies and procedures, fostering interdepartmental collaboration. Lead strategic initiatives and significant changes to operational protocols, resident programming, and staff development. Analyze key performance indicators and operational data to identify opportunities and trends, championing best practices. Ensure residents’ physical, mental, and emotional needs are met and aligned with licensure levels. Facilitate resident engagement through programs, activities, and events, arranging transportation when needed. Engage with residents and families for feedback, addressing concerns and measuring satisfaction. Collaborate with Sales to develop and execute a strategic sales plan, driving occupancy and outreach. Manage finances, budgeting, bookkeeping, and reporting. Maintain awareness of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. Ensure a safe and secure environment for all residents, guests, and staff, overseeing property maintenance and risk management. Crosstrain and delegate effectively to maintain continuity during absences. Promote a positive community image through appearance, conduct, and community engagement. Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and recognition to staff. Education Requirements

Must possess current State/Federal administrator licenses and certifications in good standing, with required ongoing education. Must meet required minimum education units or specific certification/license requirements based on community size and state requirements. Experience Requirements (in Years)

Must have the required minimum years of management experience in a healthcare field providing residential care to the elderly. Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications

At least 21 years of age. Completion of required background checks, health screening, and TB test within 7 days of employment. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Judgment and decision‑making ability, remaining calm under stress. Risk anticipation and contingency planning. Professional interaction with personnel, residents, families, and guests. Physical Demands & Work Environment

Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Mobility to perform walking, bending, kneeling, kneeling, squatting, pulling, and reaching overhead. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds. Assist with resident transfers and emergency situations. Handle sensitive situations with composure. Equal Opportunity Statement
