Job Summary

Lead strategic guidance on defense contracting, FAR/DFARS, and Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) terms, assessing risks and negotiating contracts, including FMS, offsets, and intellectual property rights.

Provide expert advice and execution on contractual rights, obligations, policies, and procedures to protect Voyager’s interests.

Partner with Finance to secure award targets, negotiate payment terms, and ensure on‑time payments.

Develop and implement contract strategies aligned with Voyager’s strategic imperatives.

Coordinate with Legal, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Controller, and Compliance to vet contracting activities.

Ensure consistent approval of contract and proposal actions according to Delegation of Authority and policy documentation.

Build and maintain positive customer relationships and manage all contract‑management activities from proposal to closeout.

Responsibilities

Assist in proposal preparation, negotiation, and contract award.

Assess terms and conditions to mitigate undue risk while supporting financial objectives.

Represent Voyager to executive leadership and recommend actions aligned with strategy.

Resolve key legal and risk issues with legal, risk management, and corporate contracts teams.

Oversee contract closeouts, interfacing with Supply Chain to incorporate requirements.

Lead direct reports and manage a contract‑management team.

Communicate effectively with complex customers and influence executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

10–15 years of experience in a dynamic technology, defense, or aerospace contracting role.

Proficiency with FAR, DFARS, & DCS contractual terms and negotiations.

Knowledge of FMS, offsets, industrial participation, IP, USG data rights.

Strong business acumen, excellent communication, and proven relationship‑building skills.

Demonstrated ownership, analytical mindset, curiosity, tactical execution, and high humility.

Compensation Base Salary: $150,000 – $225,000 USD per year (plus discretionary annual bonus, PTO, health benefits, retirement plan, wellness program, and other benefits).
