Responsibilities
Lead project work of new product and feature launches, conducting detailed taxability analysis to determine correct indirect tax treatment, and business advisory;
Lead collaboration and partnership with other Tax and Technology teams across regions to identify, create, and implement globally scalable processes and solutions.
Monitor and communicate legislative and regulatory changes in indirect tax, assessing their impact on the business and its product offerings.
Periodically review and formally document the company's tax positions on existing products and services to ensure ongoing accuracy and mitigate risk.
Lead/support complex multi-state tax audits and issues, as well as develop and execute the tax audit readiness programs.
Support the indirect tax leader in overall risk management by identifying potential exposures and developing strategies for mitigation.
Develop indirect tax operational process improvements, focusing on controls, automation, efficiency, and analytics.
Identify and document compliance process enhancements.
Work closely with the tax compliance team to ensure all necessary data for accurate and timely filings is properly collected, structured, and available from our business systems.
Support and participate in other relevant projects and ad‑hoc initiatives as assigned by the tax leadership team.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Taxation, Accounting or any other related field.
At least 5 years of indirect state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm, Government, and/or US multinational company with a focus in sales/use taxes.
Have strong technical knowledge in U.S. Indirect Tax, especially in Sales and Use Tax.
Ability to communicate complex tax concepts in ways that are meaningful and useful to non-tax professionals.
Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment, adapt quickly, collaborates effectively, and can work independently and solve problems while motivating and influencing others.
Work with other Tax and Technology teams across regions to identify, create, and implement globally scalable processes and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant industry experience in handling U.S. Indirect Tax in technology and e‑commerce companies is a plus.
Job Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $129,000 - $244,800 annually.
Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
