Legal Executive Assistant - Patent Litigation

– Washington, D.C. office. Hybrid work schedule (in-office at least 3 days per week). Responsibilities
Completes and carries out major assignments and a broad variety of tasks in support of the partner's practice. Exercises judgment and delegates administrative tasks and document work as appropriate to other Legal Support Services team members; maintains responsibility for and tracks all activities/tasks/projects to successful completion. Performs work that substantively and positively impacts the success of the partner's matters. Supports the Patent Litigation trial team, which may include travel. Maintains confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professional judgment. Manages attorney Outlook calendars, resolves scheduling conflicts, and coordinates complex travel itineraries. Works closely with attorneys to keep them informed of upcoming commitments, prepare materials in advance, and follow up as needed. Drafts letters or other correspondence, prepares reports, and completes tasks that support the partner in building the practice. Handles extensive direct interaction with clients and outside contacts. Prepares agendas, reports, and presentations; composes sometimes confidential correspondence. Develops and maintains professional relationships, guiding teams to work together efficiently and effectively. Coordinates department or practice group meetings and leads logistics to ensure productive sessions. Participates in practice group and client team meetings; prepares meeting agendas and distributes materials. Maintains paper and electronic filing systems to support Information Governance policies. Oversees billing matters (pre-billing tasks, forms, international billing, liaises with biller and collections) and monitors client budgets for reporting. Qualifications
Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with a high degree of confidentiality and professional judgment. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a flexible, dependable attitude. Must be able to work in a team and engage with peers, lawyers, clients, and other firm departments. Education
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience
Minimum Years Of Experience: 5 years of professional executive administrative experience supporting partners and/or executives. Preferred experience with Patent Litigation, ITC, and IPR filings. Additional Information
