I’m partnering with an innovative, fast-growing company in the aerospace and advanced aviation sector that’s looking for a

Senior Electrical Design Engineer

to join their expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced startup environment and wants to take full ownership of electrical systems from concept through flight qualification.

This would be a full time,

onsite position in El Segundo, CA,

and you must be a

US citizen

due to ITAR compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and prototyping of new electrical hardware, including schematic creation, electrical analysis, component selection, de‑rating, and PCBA layout.

Own the electrical design lifecycle for flight hardware — from concept and prototyping through bench and functional testing.

Collaborate closely with manufacturing and test teams to ensure new designs are practical, manufacturable, and optimized for production (DFM).

Help define and refine company‑wide electrical design processes, including PCBA layout standards, simulation tools, and PLM workflows.

Contribute to organizational growth by identifying new technical opportunities, supporting subsidiary evaluations, and driving catalog expansion.

Mentor junior engineers and play a key role in building and strengthening the avionics team.

Key Qualifications

5+ years of experience in electrical design within a professional engineering environment.

Experience at a high‑growth aerospace/aviation startups.

Experience with flight hardware electrical design end‑to‑end.

Proficient with hands‑on debugging using standard electrical lab equipment.
