Job Description The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport District has earned recognition as “2023 Best Places to Work” by the Boston Business Journal. As Housekeeping Manager, you will assist in overseeing all housekeeping functions, ensuring quality assurance, and supporting cost control as directed by the executive Housekeeper.

Responsibilities

Provide courteous, personalized, attentive, sincere, and consistent guest service by responding promptly and efficiently to inquiries, requests, and complaints.

Resolve difficult or unusual guest issues, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring corrective action.

Maintain open and clear communication with all departments and guests to ensure consistent service.

Identify ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our service to guests by actively participating in the Omni Service Tradition program.

Assist the Director of Housekeeping with opening, PM shift, turnover, uniform control, purchasing, guest requests, monthly meetings, quality assurance, linen and supply inventories, scheduling, Kronos, and payroll cost controls.

Monitor housekeeping inventories to ensure adequate levels.

Communicate closely with Front Desk and Engineering, reporting maintenance issues.

Inspect all guestrooms and vacant rooms daily.

Prepare and complete all required reports (VIPs, due‑outs, V/Ds, etc.).

Identify cleaning defects, reassign responsibilities, complete inspection forms, and forward to the Director daily.

Oversee the Housemen, ensuring they complete daily duties and special projects.

Oversee the Laundry Department and all functions.

Participate in energy conservation efforts.

Respect hotel property by keeping work areas clean, well‑maintained, stocked, and properly stored.

Eliminate waste of supplies.

Assist in maintaining Omni standards of cleanliness and consistent guestroom experience.

Assist in building a highly motivated, trained staff that strives for excellence.

Qualifications

Prior Housekeeping Supervisory Experience in Hospitality.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Highly motivated with the ability to multitask.

Independent worker.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to lead, motivate, and develop others.

Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
