Job Description The Airbus Training Center (ATC) in Miami provides flight and maintenance crew training for Airbus airline customers worldwide, primarily for those based in the Americas. The custom‑designed, 110,000‑square‑foot complex trains more than 2,000 cadets each year in a range of six full‑flight simulators, innovative computer‑based training classrooms, and cabin door and slide trainers – all simulating the A320, A330, A340 and A350 XWB families of aircraft. Miami also hosts Airbus Latin America headquarters, with a team of 60 employees covering sales, marketing, contracts, customer support and communications for the region’s commercial aircraft, helicopters and space & defense divisions.
Airbus Miami currently has capacity for additional Flight Instructors to deliver training in the simulator. Both full‑time and temporary, part‑time positions are available.
Responsibilities
Deliver training while adhering to Airbus standard policy and standardization as required by Airbus Flight Training Operations.
Instruct trainees on the various training devices.
Provide evaluation of crew progression.
Produce written reports and grade trainees’ performance at the end of each session.
Determine the necessity to provide extra training to achieve the desired level of proficiency.
Participate in the improvement and development of training documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
High school graduates who ideally obtained a BS/BA.
Obtained 3 years of experience operating with an airline.
Hold or have held an FAA ATP or Commercial instrument rating Multi‑Engine with an Airbus aircraft; ideally holding an A320, A330 or A350 type rating.
Holding at least 4,000 total flight hours.
Minimum of 1,500 hours in a jet category aircraft.
Minimum of 1,500 hours as PIC (Pilot in Command).
Ability to teach, brief and debrief in fluent English.
Substantial simulator instructor experience as an SFI/TRI on A320, A330 or A350.
Ability to write progress reports for submission to airlines or authorities.
