Mount Sinai South Nassau in Oceanside, NY is currently seeking a full‑time qualified board‑certified stroke neurologist to serve as Director of Stroke and Vascular Neurology.
The selected candidate must have excellent clinical skills with an interest in outpatient and inpatient stroke care, a track record of clinical and/or translational research, and strong leadership skills. The candidate will be expected to provide equal effort in clinical care and in leadership of the Division.
The Division of Neurology is currently comprised of eight faculty neurologists who work to achieve the hospital’s Joint Commission gold seal approval for disease‑specific primary stroke care, AHA Gold Plus Stroke Center certification, and partial thrombectomy‑capable interventional services. We are building a full comprehensive thrombectomy‑capable Stroke Center and Neurology Service and are looking to recruit full‑time faculty to expand the Division’s services.

Responsibilities
Full‑time position based at Mount Sinai South Nassau
Inpatient vascular neurology consultative services
Call coverage for stroke
Competitive compensation and benefits package
Serve a diverse population in a region with excellent school districts and easy access to Manhattan
Clinical support staff: nurses and medical assistants
EMR system: Allscripts, Athena, or Epic
Teaching and/or research opportunities available
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited university
New York medical license
Graduate from an accredited ACGME Neurology residency program
Board eligible or board certified in Neurology
Experienced neurologists and new graduates are welcome to apply
Additional fellowship training in Vascular Neurology, EEG, or other areas is welcome but not required

Compensation Compensation range: $345,000 to $345,000 (not including bonuses or incentive compensation or benefits).
